Windows 10: What's the difference between installing an app in my AppData folder and installing it in...

I'm following steps to install an app, but the location shown in the instructions is different than my default location for installation:,.And when I tried to install it in the Program Files folder, this is what I got:.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

How to access appdata folder

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Write in the search box the following: “%appdata%” .
• After the search is finished left click or tap on the folder that the search feature found.
• If it takes you to the following path: “C:\Users\The user that you are logged in with\AppData\Roaming”.
• It means that your folders are still there but they are hidden.
• Click on “View”.
• Check the box “Hidden items”
