Windows 10: what's wrong with my asus pc battery?

My Asus pc battery has been acting up: when I charge my pc to 100% it tells me '50 minutes left' or so, and sometimes it just turns off and when I turn it back on which only happens when I plug it in it says 0%battery. I bought this pc 4 years ago and don't use it that much, so I don't think it's due to usage. No Battery Is Detected error on ASUS Laptop

My Asus battery says no battery is detected even after I followed these same steps. I have tried a lot of different ways but it still shows the same thing. What do I do?

Based on the information you have provided, in the "Battery: Last Full Charge" section, the battery has only around 33% capacity remaining, which means that it is heavily degraded. It also had 292 cycles (which could be close to the designed lifespan, since laptop batteries are generally of lower quality and not designed to be charged or discharged often).

Please note that the battery could degrade faster than normal, depending on the environment and usage or charge patterns.

If your laptop is still in warranty, I highly suggest you to contact ASUS for a repair.

My suggestion is the same as before: That the battery new battery is not being charged. There is actually an easy way to find out. Touch the power pack after "charging" the new battery for half an hour. It should be quite warm.

It is also possible that the new battery is OK but that the charging circuit inside your laptop is defective. It would not charge the old battery and it won't charge the new battery. I had one of these a few months ago.
