    After working fine for a couple of years, now whatsapp desktop is a problem - but not for me, for the person on the other end, who hears a full echo of everything they say. I don't hear any echo. And, when I try the same call on my mobile instead of desktop, no problem.This is recent, only the past 10 days or so.

    Caller echo

    I have a E60 with the echoing problem. When a caller is complaining about the echo, turn on the speakerphone and the echo is gone.

    E5-00 caller's echo problem (after using a Nokia BT HF)

    Hi,



    I have an E5-00 (sw 042.014.237.01 FI) with the same caller's echo problem that is also discussed in the C-series forum (C5 echo problem). I suppose C5 and E5 is mostly the same in hardware.



    The problem is that when calling the other person (not me) hears a terrible echo. All the other person's speak is echoed back to him/her. What I think (a quess) this Nokia E5 or C5 caller's echo problem has something to do with a Nokia bluetooth handsfree
    (for example BT-214). When the BT handsfree is disconnected by using the on/off button in the handsfree after the phone call, there remeains a terrible "caller's echo" in the phone. When the next caller calls (or I call to the other person) and the BT handsfree
    is not in use, the other person hears his voice with terrible bad echo. What is important is that the echo is only in the caller's (other person) edge, I can't hear it until he/she say's she can't speak because of the echo effect. Still I'm 99% sure that the
    echo is created by my E5-00 device and when reading the discussion forums there might be a bigger problem than just a single E5 or C5 device.



    I have expreriences that there is only two options to continue the call and stop this terrible echo:



    1) Quickly re-connect the BT handsfree on, the echo on other person's end is gone. If I want to continue the call without the BT handsfree, I have to select "use phone" in the phone and the echo is gone.



    2) If the BT handsfree is not available, the only way to stop the "caller's echo" is to reboot the E5-00 phone and call back to the other person. The echo remains until the phone is rebooted or BT HF is reconnected.



    My explanation is that there is something wrong in the E5 (and C5) devices and after disconnecting using the on/off button in the bluetooth handsfree there remains the caller's echo problem until the phone is rebooted. I don't know if it is hardware or software
    related.

    I had an email back from nokia care to day 6th oct.

    There are no issues with the n73 would i like to take it to a service centre to get it looked at, this is the second one and like the first had a bad echo at the other end, caller /receiver, its about time Nokia took there head out of the sand.
