Windows 10: Whatsapp Desktop Notification Does not Appear on Acton Center

Hi, Its been a few times I have tried solving this issue. I have tried re-installing the app, did the scan stuff, and updated the windows, to no avail. FYI, the notification pop-up banner did appear for like 5 seconds, after that it goes away, and when I check the action center, its missing. I also have turned on the "Show Notifications in action center" for Whatsapp. Any suggestions of fixing this issue are welcomed.Regards,HN

Notifications not showing up for WhatsApp desktop app

Alright, so I recently downloaded Whatsapp Desktop from the Microsoft store, for the purpose of being able to see my message notifications on my laptop too.

What I noticed, was that I wasn't getting any notifications at all. I checked the settings within the app, and notifications were enabled. I figured I would have to go to the Windows Settings itself, so I did.

This is where I went.

Settings > System > Notifications & actions

My "Get notifications from apps and other senders" is enabled.

I scroll down, and I don't see the Whatsapp Desktop app.

Without being able to see it in the list, I can't enable the notifications. What should I do?

One of the things that you can try is to change the privacy settings for the notifications of the apps.

1. Press Windows + I keys together to open
   Settings.
   
2. Now click on Privacy and select
   Notifications.
   
3. Under Allow apps to access your Notifications toggle the switch to
   On.
   
4. Toggle the switch for
   WhatsApp Desktop app to On under Choose which apps can access your notifications.

Stop action center notifications in Windows 10

  Do you want to stop notifications only from Defender or stop all action center notifications?
  

To stop action center notifications, I suggest you to follow the steps given below:

• 
  Type settings in search bar and hit
  enter.
  
• 
  Go to system.
  
• 
  Select notifications and actions.
  
• 
  Click on turn system icons on or off.
  
• 
  Turn off action center.
