Windows 10: WHATSAPP DESKTOP REFUSING TO LAUNCH OR LAUNCHES AND CLOSES ON WINDOWS 11

Hi guys, so i decided to open whatsapp desktop today and found out it won't launch. The mouse cursor rotates for a few seconds and just disappears. I reinstalled Whatsapp desktop but to no avail...same issue. I run as admin and this time around it did opened but closed after 2 minutes or so. I checked event viewer and this is the report i saw:The program WhatsApp.exe version 2.2202.12.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. WhatsApp not launching on desktop

I've tried to fix this problem twice but it doesn't go away. Every time I double click the whatsapp desktop shortcut, the cursor loads for a second, then nothing happens. Whatsapp does not launch. Right clicking and selecting run as administrator does not
work either. I also do not see 'Advanced Options' below Whatsapp when I go to settings>apps and select whatsapp there

The only way I can get it to launch is by going to task manager and finding whatsapp in the background processes, and then selecting it and clicking end task. After this, double-clicking the whatsapp shortcut launches whatsapp.

Please help me solve this

 

WhatsApp refused to launch - Nokia 500

Whatsapp won't launch after initial installation and launch

I've been using Whatsapp desktop on Windows 10 for a few months now with no problems. Then suddenly the desktop client stopped working - when I attempt to launch nothing happens.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times, and Whatsapp always opens the first time I try after installation, but then once closed it won't open again.

Any ideas? Thank you
