Windows 10: WhatsApp not starting

HiWhatsApp looks to be installed correctly but when I try to open it noting happens. The splashscreen flashes for less than a second and then nothing happens; Even task manager doesnt show whatsapp running or trying to run.I have tried to reinstall but it is the same. I have tried App reset option alsoWhen I open microsoft store and searrch for Whatsapp it shows the button as "Open" when it was previosuly shown as "Get".If I click on open the same thing happens wherein the splash screen comes for a second and goes and nothing happensCan u tell me tell me what i am doing wrong.Running Windows 1

Whatsapp on Nokia X ???

Please follow the steps properly your problem will be solved

1.Download my app "Whatsapp Launcher for Nokia x" from Nokia store.

• Download Latest version of Whatsapp from
  
  http://www.whatsapp.com/android/

• Install Whatsapp you downloaded in step 1 , Complete your Whatsapp login as there will be no error until you login

4. After login complete your Whatsapp will start to show error "DEVICE NOT SUPPORTED"



5. Open app "Whatsapp Launcher for Nokia x" and there will be no error to open Whatsapp have fun.

 

Nokia E6-00 Problems with start up and whatsapp

I found the solution

First before starting backup all data on your phone (contact – messages – photos – videos – audio files - ……).

We will start format the E6 by dialing this code *#7370# it will take mints.

Your E6 will restart.

Steps:

• Ignore all phone request in setup like setup your mail account.
• Run ovi.
• Make sure that your username is not writing in username text box – Note: if you find your user name is writing repeat the above steps.
• Login with your ovi account.
• Search about whatsapp and download and install.
• Test all whatsapp and E6 problem.
• Install mail account and all other applications.

 

No Whatsapp Mic

Whatsapp text works fine but I can't get audio out to work.
Have been through all the "how to" help and can't find a microphone to turn on for Whatsapp.

Ok, let's try another approach.
This is a new ASUS laptop and I am new to W10.

It is not just Whatsapp; I cant get the microphone to work on other apps either.
I've been through all the steps with privacy, camera, connecting apps and I guess a few others.
There must be some simple enable step I'm missing.

Well, persistence does pay off. I followed some instructions to check for needed driver updates with My Asus and yes, there were newer versions for audio and camera.
I installed them and all is well.
Funny thing is checking in Device Manager I was told I had the latest of everything.
So I learned something new this evening.
