  1. WHEA-Logger Event 17 - PCI Express Root Port 7AB3

In response to my previous post about this problem below:WHEA-Logger Event 17 - PCI Express Root Port - Microsoft CommunityI think I have the solution, and it has to do with PCI-E Native Power Management in the BIOS for Asus Z790 motherboards. The problem goes away if you turn it off, but I don't want to turn it off.If you want it on without coming up with these errors:Set your NVIDIA GPU in the NVIDIA control panel if it's PCI-E 4.0 or higher, like the 30 or 40 series to prefer maximum performance.Change your power plan in Windows 11 to high performance. It seems that the Windows 11 power

  3. Windows 11 - WHEA-logger code 17. PCI express root port code

    Hello, Aaron

Thanks a lot for your message.

I do not have the event ID "1001". I've also tried sorting after it.

However, before the Kerel-power 41, I do get some other errors.

    Such as:

    - Microsoft-Windows-DeviceSetupManager event 131

    - WHEA logger: component: PCI Express Root Port

What else can I look for to help you look at the issue?

    Thanks for the help

    Kim

    WHEA-Logger Event 17 - PCI Express Root Port 7AB3

PCI Express Root Port WHEA-Logger Event ID 17 warning

    Window 10 Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.746)

Inexpensive Acer Aspire E5-575G, hopefully the full specifications are available from my profile, if required.

I looked at previous post and found that the answer to similar problems seemed to be solved by updating drivers, however all my drivers are up to date. I have over 8000 instances of warnings of WHEA-Logger Event ID 17, starting 01/10/2021. The Primary Device Name is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D1B. Casual searching of the web leads me to believe that this signifies a cpu chip/motherboard problem. Not sure if this is true.

How serious is this? Is it a sign of impending doom? An old man once told me that if my engine starting making funny noises, just turn the radio up. Should I enjoy life and just ignore the Event Viewer...it is only a warning after all.

    Any help/advice is appreciated.
