Windows 10: When and how to upgrade Windows 11 to the Professional version

I'm going to be purchasing a new laptop soon from Best buy.It seems all of their Winows 11 laptops are sold with the "Home" version installed.Here's my issue.I don't want to use a Microsoft account. I currently use a local account on my Win 10 Home version laptop.Based on what I have read, I need to have the Professional version of Windows 11 if I want to use a Local account.Okay.I'll purchase an upgrade even though I don't really require any of the additiona; fuctionality that comes with the Professional version.That written, WHEN and how would I perform this upgrade ?IE:When I open the b

Windows 8 Upgrade Streamlined to 11 Clicks

For those who upgrade between succeeding versions of Microsoft Windows, the upgrade installer can be cumbersome. There are way too many prompts and clicks. Microsoft is working to make the upgrade package of its next major version of Windows, for now referred to as Windows 8, streamlined to as few as 11 clicks. The new installer will be designed to perform most of its tasks without needing user input.

Microsoft will implement a new web-delivery method, where you purchase your Windows 8 license online, and the installer downloads your soft copy to you. It is pre-fed with your 25-character product key. Microsoft's next major Windows release is slated for 2012.

Will the free Windows 10 upgrade install a professional edition

If you have the Windows 7 Professional you will get the Windows 10 Pro version. If you had the Windows 7 Home Premium you would get the Windows 10 Home version.
