    When I change the font size in WordPad from 18pt to 12pt, it doesn't change


    Hi,In WordPad, I've always had my font size set at 12pt. Yesterday, it changed to 18pt. When I go into Edit > Font Size, it's set at 12pt but what I type always 18pt. I'm having no problem with MS Word documents. How can I fix this?Then I read online to change the file name extensions from .txt to .rtf and this is what I get when I create a new .txt document now instead of the typical WordPad .txt. How can I change all of my WordPad .txts from .rtf to .txt again and change the font from 18pt to 12pt even though I've changed it in WordPad to 12pt already?Denise

    How to change the default WordPad font using regedit

    WordPad comes with Calibri font size 11 by default. There are many work-arounds available online to change the font, but I would like to see a tutorial with a step-by-step fool-proof regedit procedure with screenshots as Brink does so masterfully.

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the font size and check if it helps.

    • Go to settings and click on system.
    • Under display tab there's a slider on this page that you can use to change the size of text, apps and other items.
