Windows 10: When I check "set time zone automatically" the time zone is wrong UTM-6 but should be UTM10...

My date and time seWhen I went to my dttings I noticed my time zone is automatically set as UTM-6:00 I live in Australia. I can only manually change the time zone to the correct one -UTC+10 When I check "set time zone automatically" the time zone reverts to the incorrect zone UTM-6. any ideas why auto zone is so wrong and how to fix it?

When I check "set time zone automatically" in date and time settings, the time zone is wrong (UTM-6 Mexico but should be UTM+10- Sydney)

I noticed my clock was 6am when it should be 11pm. In date and time settings my time zone is automatically set as UTM-6:00 instead of UTM+10, I can only manually correct the time zone. If I correct the zone and then check "set time zone automatically" the time zone reverts to the incorrect zone (UTM-6). any ideas why auto zone is so wrong and how to fix it?

 

"Set time zone automatically" sets to the wrong time zone, and swaps throughout the day

I did these steps and upon turning on "set time zone automatically" it still sets the wrong time zone.

Using Command Prompt

Click on Start.

Look for Command Prompt, right-click and click on Run as administrator option.

Type this to confirm the current time zone and press Enter:

tzutil /g

Type this and note the time zone that you want (IST) and hit Enter:

tzutil /l

3. Using PowerShell

Go to Start.

Search for PowerShell, right-click and Run as administrator.

Type this to confirm the current time zone:

Get-TimeZone

Type the following command and note the time zone that you want to use:

Get-TimeZone -ListAvailable
