Windows 10: when I click on Type here to search in Home menu it comes a white background with a blue...

Problem I haveIn the picture I uploaded the blue color loading circle stuck in a white color background without rotating and can't type anything there and it goes back without showing anything.Solutions I tried I tried by using Troubleshooter but it did not solve the problem.I tried windows defender it did not solve the problem.

Your suggestions seem to relate to the box on the taskbar, but that's not the issue I'm asking about. I'm referring to the results that come up in the Start Menu. For example, here is what it looks like now.

If it helps, Edge allows you to get extensions from the Chrome store too. Perhaps you can pick a suitable theme... Typing Theme in the search box lists some.. This is using Edge:

 

problem on a few menus - white text on white background

G'day all.

I have two instances of having white text on white backgrounds. I use start10 by Stardock, and on its menus, items currently highlighted are showing white text on a white background. Other (non-highlighted) items display correctly.

I also noticed this same thing when Cortana displays something like my shopping list. If i ask her to display my shopping list, she does, and i can see the checkboxes, but the actual text of the list is not visible.

I sense this has something to do with system level font/color settings, but I can't find where this is controlled in Win10.
