Windows 10: When I close my laptop lid, instead of going to sleep, it shuts down immediately after...

In my PC, I've recently installed Windows 11. When I close my laptop lid, instead of going to sleep, it shuts down. Additionally, when I open the lid, it restarts automatically. This issue keeps occurring whenever I close my laptop lid, and it didn't happen with Windows 10. I've reset my PC and reinstalled Windows 11 to check for errors, but nothing changed. I've also tried the power menu method, but that is not working. What should I do now? Please, can anyone help me?

When close lid during shutting down, PC go into sleep.

I've got a problem (or a feature ? Not so sure) that when I finish my work, I shutting down my laptop, while waiting it to be shut down, I close the lid.
The problem is when I close the lid, the laptop go into sleep mode, and when I back to work, I open the lid to press the power button and it resume the 'shut down' process.
This hasn't happen before, any suggestion ? Many thanks

Laptop shuts down instead of going to sleep

I have a year-old Asus laptop and recently installed Windows 10. Now, instead of going to sleep it shuts down.

If I just leave it running, eventually it goes to sleep. If I don't leave it sleeping for too long it will wake up properly. But if I leave it sleeping for a while it will shut down. If I close the lid, instead of sleeping it shuts down. Under "what
to do when the lid is closed" it is set to go to sleep but obviously this isn't working properly.

This is getting to be a real pain. Every time I open the lid I have to wait while it boots up.

So far, on a scale of 1 - 10 my satisfaction level with Windows 10 is about a 2!

 

Laptop does not shutdown when i click shutdown and close the lid, it sleeps instead.

This scenario happens when your Power Options is misconfigured. For us to have this isolated, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Select Settings.
• Click on System.
• Select Power & sleep tab.
• On the right side, click on Additional power settings.
• On the left pane, select Choose what closing the lid does.
• Under Power button and lid settings, click the drop down next to
  When I close the lid.
• Select Shut down.
• Click on Save changes button.
• When you’re ready to make your PC shut down, close your laptop's lid.
  

Note: Every time that you will close the lid, your laptop will automatically shut down.
