Windows 10: when I connect Bluetooth speaker with aux cable, it doesn't play sound

Discus and support when I connect Bluetooth speaker with aux cable, it doesn't play sound in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; which steps go wrong in this case?     Can't select paired bluetooth speaker as sound output (Windows 10)

    I just got a new bluetooth speaker, an Urbanears Stammen (concrete grey)

    I can connect to it from my phone, using Bluetooth, and play back sound no problem. But I can't get my Windows 10 laptop (Dell XPS 15) to use it as a playback device.

    I can connect and pair to it no problem, as you see in the screenshot below

    It also shows up under bluetooth in the device manager. It's not listed under "Audio inputs and outputs", which I thought it should be, but I can see it under "Sound, video and game controllers".

    But I can't select it as a playback device when I connect Bluetooth speaker with aux cable, it doesn't play sound :(

    And I tried the suggested steps listed there, but nothing helped when I connect Bluetooth speaker with aux cable, it doesn't play sound :(

    Any further ideas I could try?

    Hi Tom,

    In order for us to identify what triggers your laptop's issue when an aux cable is connected, we would like to gather more information:

    • Have you tried connecting the aux cable and the headset to a different computer?
    • Have you also tried connecting a different aux cable and headset to your laptop?
    • Does the brief sound from the laptop only play upon inserting the aux cable and headset?

    pc not accepting aux cable

    hello, I am having trouble with my pc (I have a Toshiba corei7, windows 10). it is not recognizing my external speakers. when I plug an earphone it works and I can listen well but when I plug an aux cable to play music through my external speakers there
    is no sound. I know it detected it because it there is no sound coming from the laptop speakers(which also work fine when the aux is not connected). and I don't think the aux has a problem either because it works fine on another pc. can anyone please tell
    me how to fix this
