I have acer nitro 5 laptop , when i connect my cosmic byte headphone which has 3.5mm input output jack it shows the headphone in output but doesn't show the headphone in input section earlier it used to show the headphone in both input and output section. I checked the headphone on other devices too, its working fine both mic and speakers. when i connect the bluetooth headphone then it shows the headphone in both output and input but when i connect through wired headphone through audio jack then it doesnt work. I reinstalled the whole windows 11 also reinstalled all the drivers of Realtek aud

Headphone jack in Dell Inspiron 3793 doesn't work

There are many. For example, 3.5mm Speaker and headphone Splitter - Amazon UK - I realise you are in the USA. The UK link was what I had handy. - You could search your own Amazon for Speaker and headphone Splitter and I'd suggest checking the whole product description, QnA & user reviews for confirmation that they work for inputs as well as outputs [not all do]. best of luck, Denis

 

Headphone jack not recognized as output device

Sometime recently, whenever I plug headphones into the jack, the computer tells me "You just plugged a device into the audio jack." But the sound keeps coming out of the laptop speakers. Headphones don't show up under output devices and the Realtek software
only gives me two choices of devices to choose from, Mic or Line in. It seems as if somewhere, Windows 10 or Realtek forgot the jack was input/output. Have uninstalled and reinstalled device software. Anybody have any ideas?
