Windows 10: When I disable autoplay videos, the volume on YouTube is muted.

If I click on a link with a video in it, the default volume would automatically default to 100% for each video, waking up the entire house. After searching, I was told by websites to go to "Site settings" and disable autoplay videos. I did, but now I get no sound on anything. I rebooted the PC, made an exception to allow YouTube to play, yet the volume stays at 0% if autoplay is disabled. How do I set the default volume level at startup? It seems to default to 100%. I would like to set it to 10-25% volume at startup so I don't wake all the other tenants up.

I have autoplay turned off in both Firefox and Chrome.






However, while in Firefox, when I access a Youtube page. the video will not play until I initiate the play process (push the play button).

In Chrome, when I load the same page, the video starts playing. Can I do something t get it to act like Firefox?

That Stop Youtube autoplay extension only prevents from autoplaying the next recommended video.

I wish to prevent autoplay of that page's video when I open a youtube tab. I just assumed that there was a way to prevent it without the assistance of an addon.
