When I double click Minecraft launcher nothing happens. I tried restarting my computer. This is different it's just that nothing happens when I try to open Minecraft launcher.

Problem with the minecraft launcher.

There are many reasons why you can't log in to Minecraft Launcher, but all of them are due to Microsoft Store and related services. I will provide several methods to try to solve this problem, please refer to the following steps for operation:

• Clear the cache on Microsoft Store.
  

1. Press the Windows logo key + R, type wsreset.exe, and select OK.
   
2. After a few seconds a blank command prompt window will appear, which will disappear after about ten seconds and the Microsoft Store will open automatically.This means the cache was cleared successfully.
   

• Make sure you're using the Microsoft Store Install Service.
  

1. Services.msc can be found by pressing Windows Key + S and typing services.msc.
   
2. Locate and double-click the Microsoft Store Install Service; if the status is Running, right-click it and select Restart.
   
3. Change it to Automatic if it's disabled, then click Start and OK.
   

• Reinstall the Microsoft Store app
  

1. Press Windows key + X
   
   Click and Run Windows PowerShell(run as Administrator)Copy and paste the command below then hit Enter:
   
   

• Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher
  

1. Click Start >Settings >Apps，find "Minecraft Launcher" in all apps.
   
2. Click on the "Minecraft Launcher" Advanced options >Uninstall the application.
   
3. Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Minecraft Launcher", download and install it again, and log in to your account to see if it works.

Reset the Microsoft Store Cache

1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
   
2. Type wsreset and hit Enter to reset the Microsoft Store cache.
   

Reset the Minecraft App

1. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
   
2. Find the Minecraft Launcher app, click the three dots and select Advanced Options.
   
3. Click the Reset button to reset the Minecraft app.
   

Reinstall Minecraft from Microsoft Store

1. Uninstall any existing Minecraft installations from your PC.
   
2. Open the Microsoft Store and search for "Minecraft Launcher".
   
3. Install the latest version of the Minecraft Launcher from the store.
   

If none of these solutions work, you may need to check for any Windows updates and run the Microsoft Store Apps troubleshooter.

Minecraft Launcher's Taskbar Icon is Invisible

Yesterday, I was playing Minecraft when I realized that that Minecraft launcher taskbar icon was invisible. When I pinned the launcher, I could move the invisible icon around on my taskbar, creating gaps between other, already pinned programs. Someone asked this question and got the answer "try reinstalling the launcher". That person said the suggestion worked and resolved their problem.

Since the issue is relatively benign, I decided to ignore it rather than interrupt playing Minecraft with the chore of reinstalling the launcher. Today, I discovered that the issue resolved itself thanks to shutting down my computer at the end of each day (restarting it). In summary, you can fix the invisible icon problem by simply restarting your computer, no need to reinstall the Minecraft Launcher. I'm just writing this "question" because the other question post that suggested the reinstall is now locked, so everyone that goes looking for the solution to this issue are getting the muss less efficient solution of reinstalling compared to the much quicker and simpler solution of restarting their PC. TLDR;

If your Minecraft Launcher taskbar icon is invisible, before you try uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher, try simply restarting your computer. It worked for me and is much less of a chore than going through the reinstallation process. Have a good one!
