Windows 10: when i download the minecraft installer it says it cant run on my pc

ive tried deleting it and reinstalling 3 times in the past 2 days and its been taking hours to download but whenever it finally finishes and i try to open it it says it cant run on my pc. for the last 2 tries ive been making sure i download the windows 10/11 version and it still hasnt worked.update: i tried downloading the windows 7/8 version and it says "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" idk how to fix this issue

Minecraft installation on PC

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• How are you installing the Minecraft game? (Microsoft Store/online)
• Did you purchase Minecraft Java edition or Windows edition?
• Are you getting any error message, while installing the game?
  

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform try these steps and check, if you are installing Minecraft Windows edition.

Step 1:
Reset the Windows Store Cache

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the
Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

Note:
A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

Step 2:
Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Select the Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
> Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run
the troubleshooter.

Can’t download minecraft

• Do you get any error message?

If you are installing Minecraft Windows 10 version,
then we would suggest you to perform these steps and after every step check if you are able to install Minecraft.



Step 1:

Minecraft from xbox to pc

So I just downloaded minecraft on my xbox but for some reason it's not showing up in my games in the play store on my pc. I can play it on xbox and according to the mojang website, I should be able to play it on both my xbox and my pc. These are the steps
that it says to take:

For Windows10:

1. Using your Microsoft account, sign into the PC where you want to install your games.
2. Click on the three dots in the Windows Store next to your profile pic.
3. Go to My Library. If you already own the game, you can download it from there.
