Windows 10: When I hover over a microsoft icon it's displaying open items horizontally instead of...

My open items used to display vertically on my windows 11 machine but after it rebooted they display horizontally when I hover over an icon on the taskbar. I want to change it back to vertical but can't figure out how

I understand how frustrating it could be when the computer doesn’t work as it is supposed to.



I would suggest you to check the settings mentioned below and see if that helps in making a difference:



Disable Hover feature:



You may want to disable the Hovering over feature for Mouse and check. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control and click on
   OK.
   
3. Select Large icons from the drop down for
   View by.
   
4. Click on Ease of Access Center and click on
   Make the mouse easier to use.
   
5. Clear the checkbox for Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse
   under Make it easier to manage windows.
   
6. Click on OK.
   

Disable ClickLock



Sometimes if ClickLock is enabled any item gets highlighted through the Mouse. We can try disabling it and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Widows + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type main.cpl and click on
   OK.
   
3. Clear the checkbox for Turn on ClickLock.
   
4. Click on OK.
   

Disable Single-click to open item



We can also check if the Single-click to open an item is enabled. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Widows + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control folders and click on
   OK.
   
3. Make sure the option, Double-click to open an item is selected.
   
4. Click on OK.

Icons appearing on extended display instead of main display | Windows 11 v22H2

Hello everyone,

One of our user is facing issue with display settings. All of his icons are appearing on extended display.

1. We checked the display properties and set the extended display as main display and rolled back.
   
2. Cleared the iconcache (IconCache.db) under the folder AppData.
   
3. Disabled the Auto arrange icons and enabled it back again,
   
4. All the drivers along with BIOS are up to date on the system.
   

Still the issue is not getting resolved.
Don't want to move the icons manually and leave one item behing.
Please suggest any permanent fix for this issue.

Reorder Open Mail items when hovering over the outlook icon (How to reorder open windows)

When opening Outlook one item will display when highlighting the Outlook icon. When you open up the Outlook Calendar in a new window the calendar is listed below the mail window. As you open emails the emails are added to the bottom of the new window list.

I usually have 15 to 20 windows open. I may close the Calender window and then need to reopen it. The calendar is now at the bottom of the window list. How can I reorder the windows so the calendar is directly below the inbox with the open emails below the
calendar
