Windows 10: When I hover over my tabs for Chrome and Word, they're all blacked out

I was changing my settings around and I noticed that some of my tabs were blacked out when I hover over them Chrome and Word they were completely dark. What do I do to fix that?

Using Paint to Write Yellon on a Black Background

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it help.

• 
  Open Paint.
  
• 
  Under Home Tab, Click on Fill with color.
  
• 
  Select the black color, and now click on blank page below.
  
• 
  Now the background will be in black color.
  
• 
  Select Brushes under Home tab and select yellow color.
  
• 
  Then you will be able to write word and Figures in yellow color.

This option is browser independent.

for Edge:

you should have the latest version to disable this option

* Update your Microsoft Edge to the latest version, Build 78.0.253.0 and above is required.

* Enter edge://flags/#tab-hover-cards into the address bar and press the Enter key.

* Set the Tab Hover Cards flag to Disabled.

For Chrome:

* Go to chrome://flags/

* Then find/search > Tab Hover Cards > Set to: Disabled

Same applies for Firefox:

* Enter about:config

* browser.chrome.toolbar_tips

* Choose Disable

Windows 10 Pointer Hovering

Thanks for the feedback, Mike. To turn off the pointer or mouse hovering on your laptop, follow these steps:

• In Cortana search, type in Mouse.
• Click Mouse and Touchpad settings in the search result.
• Turn off the Mouse Hover Switch.

You may also look for Tap to Click and have it turned off. Here's how:

• In Cortana search, type in Mouse.
• Click Mouse and Touchpad settings in the search result.
• Click Additional Mouse Options and select the Thinkpad tab.
• Click Settings.
• Under the General tab, uncheck Tap to Click option.
