    When I load a saved 3mf file it resizes two of my objects


    I have a 3mf fie with 10 objects with sizes 31.75 mm by 31.75 mm.

    When I load it one object has one dimension changed to 31.7501 and the other has sizes 31.7497 and 31.7406.

    This keeps happening even when I re-saved with the dimensions all reset to 31.75 mm.

    • How are you trying to transfer the file?
    • What is the make and model of the phone?


    Conversion of a .3mf to.jpg can be done using Paint 3D app available on Windows 10, however the conversion of .JPG to .3mf (i.e. 2D to 3D) is not possible.

    To convert a .3mf file to jpg, open the .3mf file in Paint 3D, click on the folder icon in the upper-left corner and use the
    Export file function toconvert 3mf to jpg. This will create a 2D picture of your file.



    Instead of transferring the file to phone, you can save it on OneDrive and restore/download it on your Hp computer later. Please refer to the steps mentioned in the link to upload files on OneDrive.

    Upload files to OneDrive.

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your response along with the screenshots, we appreciate your time and effort provided to resolve the issue .

    We would suggest you to perform the "Steps to repair or reset the app"
    from the earlier post of mine on Paint 3D and 3D viewer
    app and then try opening the .3MF files, to check if the issue persists.

    Please get back with the end result.

    How to delete .3mf file?

    Tested new 3D Builder. Dowloaded an object on my PC. After that I have in my File Explorer on PC one file with 4,38 MB (3D objekt .3mf) and cannot now delete it.

    Also I have one file with 0 MB and cannot delete because original file isnt on my PC anymore. Is there any program or solutions to delete this file?
