Windows 10: When i minimize a full screen application windows explorer opens randomly Windows 11

Since the last 2 days everytime i tab out of a game or go out of a fullscreen youtube video windows explorer decides to open a new instance. I tied restarting my pc, disable autoplay, virus/maluware scans and check for broken registrey files and it still happens. I also checked my mouse ore keyboard if they have a marco that could be causing this. Its hard to repeat because it happens somewhat random but i fond these 2 were most notably.What i did not try was windows troubleshooter and reinstalling windows.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows Minimize all applications

I am having sort of an issue here. Whenever I load up a full screen application, it is minimized to the tray... and immediately after I bring it back up, its minimized again. I ran a dxdiag video test, and the tests are canceled due to a "key press". In light of this, I unplugged all input devices and hooked up a standard ps2 keyboard as the only input device, and there is still an issue... I have also done numerous anti-virus checks hoping that was the problem, but none were found. I currently use AVG free.

Other than that, im not sure what is causing this problem, but it is rather annoying since it disables me from playing any game or running any full windows application.

 

Windows Explorer Replacement?

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer
