Windows 10: When I open a game all audio cuts out. Any ideas on how to fix this?

All of my audio cuts out when I open certain games. It also happens when I right click the volume symbol on the taskbar, then click recording. I have tried updating drivers and many other troubleshooting methods that I can't remember. Any help?

Audio Cutting out when in Games

For some reason whenever I am in games my audio will randomly cut out for a few seconds and then come right back. However, if I am listening to a youtube video or on a voice call with someone at the same time my game audio will cut out, but the audio from the video/call won't. I have tried updating drivers, messing in the properties of my headphones in sound settings, and even checking the HD Audio connection on my motherboard. This issue also only just started after I installed a new CPU and GPU into my machine, so I am thinking it's connected. Any suggestions?
