  1. When I open a game it disables most of my tasks in the task scheduler

    When I open a game it changes almost all my tasks in the task scheduler from ready/running to disabled they reenable when the game is closed. The only ones that are still enabled are one made by my antivirus and one made by msi afterburner, all of my custom made ones and a couple made by other programs are disabled. Ive tested it with tf2 and eft and both of them do the same thing. Thanks for any help.

  2. Task Scheduler History keeps getting disabled for my tasks

    Task Scheduler History keeps getting disabled for my tasks

    i also found the listed this issue listed.

    i try to update my command and could not.

    i found a recommendation to enable . here -->

    "Step 1: Open an elevated Task Scheduler (ie. right-click on the Task Scheduler icon and choose Run as administrator)

    Step 2: In the Actions pane (right
    pane, not the actions tab),
    click Enable All Tasks History"

    How can I enable the Windows Server Task Scheduler History recording?

    not sure if it is persistent.

  3. No permission to disable a task in Task Scheduler

    You keep talking about a "folder". Task scheduler items are files, not
    folders, even though they have no name extension (i.e. no full stop or anything else to the right of the name).

    I suspect the task is protected through its entry in the registry. You need to open the registry editor (regedit.exe), then do this:

    • Navigate to this key:

      HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Schedule\TaskCache\Tasks\
    • Find "UpdateOrchestrator", using Ctrl+F. It will be against a key such as

      {AB62362D-3EF5-4BD4-92E1-D96143FD8738}
    • Change the owner of the key to "Administrators"
    • Grant full access to "Administrators".

    You then need to take the same four steps with this key:

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tree\
