Windows 10: When I open Task Manager my Disk says it’s at 100%. This is making my computer run very slow.

I’m not sure what to do about this issue. It’s been happening for a few months at least.

How can I fix a very slow computer with 100% disk usage on the task manager?

Randomly my computer will become very slow. When I open the task manage it shows 100% disk usage and is stuck there. Sometimes after running Super Antispyware it will get better but that can take hours and may need to be run several times. It doesn't
find any problems just running it helps.

 

Windows 10 Task Manager says 100% disk lots of lag

I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10. There is lots of lag and the task manager says 100% disk. The computer is still like new and less than one year old. Computer runs slow even if no programs are open and using the internet can be impossible. How can I
fix this? Have not found a solution that works.

I have another laptop which was having the same issue, but I re-installed Windows 7 and it works great.

Please do this:

1. Launch the Task Manager
2. Click Details
3. Click the CPU column header
4. Make sure the biggest load is visible at the top of the list
5. Use snippingtool.exe to create a snapshot of the frame
6. Save the snapshot to the desktop, then attach it to your reply.
