  1. when I open the game my resolution changes to native60hz and I can't change to custom res80hz

i created custom resolution in nvidia control panel to have 80hz and games detected it but now games doesnt detect 80hz but only 60hz which is my native resolution.it keeps changing to native 60hz only in games the only way to have 80hz in game is to play borderless fullscreen which gives input lag and fps drops its very noticable in fps games like valorant. i tried different cables,i checked hz every where display, nvidia etc. and it happened 2 days ago and i have this monitor for like 10 months and everything worked fine.

    :)

Change the Resolution setting on the moniter

Hello, to change your screen resolution, please follow these steps:

    1) Open Start, select Settings then select System and then select Display. Alternatively, you can right click the background on your desktop, and select Display Settings.

    2) Under Scale and layout, check the setting under Change the size of text, apps, and other items. We suggest you use the percentage marked "(Recommended)."

    3) If that doesn't solve your problem, under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked "(Recommended)."

    Automatic resolution change for games

    Hi,

A corrupted data may cause an automatic resolution change for your games. Here are 2 methods on how to troubleshoot automatic resolution change for games:

Method 1: Here are steps on how to change hardware acceleration:

    1. Go to Start

    2. Click on Control Panel

    3. In control panel window, click on Appearance and Personalization

    4. Click on Personalization

    5. Select Display Settings, and then click Advanced Settings.

    6. Go to Troubleshoot tab, and then click Change Settings.

Note: Change Settings will be disabled if the graphics card drivers do not support disabling hardware acceleration.

    7. Move the Hardware Acceleration slider until it is one notch to the right of None. This is the basic acceleration setting.

    8. Click OK twice, and then close the window.

    Method 2:

Update the Video card drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
