Windows 10: When I open windows security it shows black screen in windows 11

I observed this black screen issue after recent update not sure exactly. It is not responding or just showing black screen window. I have gone through all the microsoft articles, no proper resolution is provided referred mainly https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/blank-screen-windows-security-windows-11/f750ab6b-1dd7-4a5b-8f57-b1aa2addf2d2. Due to this issue I was not able to access few other applications.Since this is a known issue, I'm not providing screen shots. Let me know if any additional information is needed.Please help Microsoft!! Need urgent support.Thanks - Rak

Black screen after 'Starting Windows' sequence

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Windows 7 black screen of death

I read a report a little while ago that said the black screens were nothing to do with updates but due to a malicious program (it hit more than just windows 7 users - vista, xp and 2000 were also prone to the black startup screen of death if infected). My windows 7 install is fully up-to-date and i've never had the black startup screen.

Just run some decent anti virus and you should be safe (i suggest microsoft security essentails since it's free and pretty decent). When you've installed an anti-virus i'd suggest doing a full scen to be sure there's nothing there.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
