Windows 10: When I plug a USB-C cord into my laptop I get three "PCI Express Downstream Switch Port"...

I bought a USB-C to lightning cable from Amazon and when I plug it into my laptop I get the sound of a new device being connected. I checked Device Manager and there are three devices in System Devices called "PCI Express Downstream Switch Port" and another called "PCI Express Upstream Switch Port." When I plug the cable into my iPhone then I hear the sound a of a device being disconnected, but the switch port devices are still there. I know almost nothing about USB-C. Is this normal?

Computer wakes up with a "PCI Express Downstream Switch Port" driver with a yellow flag next to it

Have this problem with "PCI Express Downstream Switch Port" issue in the system section when I go to device manager. Problem started when I installed AMD Radeon package back in March 2019. I got lucky and was able to install a Microsoft video driver package
from 2017 and issue never came back. But when I tried installing the latest AMD driver package it`s baacckk. It happens when the computer goes to sleep. Prior to sleep not there. Usually if it is I will uninstall the problem child and continue on. Computer
function fine as far as I can see, but this is an annoyance. Seems systems tries to install 2 more of these ports and is not successful either when entering sleep or when it wakes up. So then the system tags them with a yellow flag. My OS is Windows 10 64
bit. I also have a frsh re-install of OS and this did not correct issue. I have seen other post where users have installed AMD Radon graphics package and have experienced the same thing. I also have tried different power configuration schemes and this did
not correct issue

 

USB-C to Display Port not working?

I have an X1 Yoga with Windows 10, attempting to connect to an external HP monitor using one of the two USB-C Thunderbolt ports. I bought a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter from Lenovo, connecting the adapter to the DisplayPort cable that came with the monitor.
No signal on monitor. It's a brand new monitor and it works fine using HDMI, but due to availability of ports I want to use the USB-C connection.

When I plug in the USB-C to DisplayPort adapter I get a message "PC isn't charging". The power cord is plugged into the other USB-C port and otherwise works fine. I have tried switching around the USB-C to DisplayPort adapter to the other port but still
no signal to the monitor.

Please help.
