Windows 10: When I press laptop's START button, charger light switches off with a bios sound

Last night my laptop got updates window 10 and it prompted me to restart. After restarting the laptop, I've heared a bip sound by bios and charger green light is switched off. I disconnected the power and connected the cable again and pressed start button, again I've heared a bip sound and charger green light switched off. Anyone know any solution please???

Disable beep sound when plugging/unplugging laptop charger

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Disable the PC Speakers and check if it helps.

• Right click on Sound Icon in the task bar and go to Playback devices.
  
• Select Speaker and click on properties.
  
• Go to Levels tab, and mute (or you can reduce it) PC Speaker and check if it helps.
  

 

Laptop charging icon shows charging even when my charger is not plugged in

Hi, thank you for your suggestion. I followed all the steps mentioned by you. The issue stopped temporarily. The issue started again today. The moment I switched the laptop on, the charging icon was showing that the laptop is charging even though the charger
was not plugged in. The charging light was also on. I had to plug in the charger and switch it on and off to stop this automatic charging.

Is there any other way to solve this issue? Also, is there a chance that there is bug in the latest update?

I am worried that my laptop battery will get spoiled.

 

Press the Start button, blue power light blinks once, accessory lights blink once then nothing

I have a HP Elitebook 8740W running Win 10 Pro. When I press the start button the power light on the front of the laptop comes on for 2 seconds, then the accessory lights across the top of the keyboard blinks once, then nothing happens. The screen is blank.
If I hold the Start button down, the power light stays on for about 9 seconds then the accessory lights blink and then the screen is blank.

I have removed the battery and power wire, then held down the Start button for 30 seconds. Put the battery back in and the power plug. No change is anything.

The power light does not come on when the laptop is plugged in.

Any ideas on what to do now.
