Windows 10: When I restart I get a black screen until I power off and restart. It then goes to my login...

My Lenovo with windows 11 gives me a black screen when I start or restart. After powering off and restarting I get to login but them I have to wait 2 hours for it to allow me to get to my desktop. First question is why the black screen and secondly how do I stop it from locking me out?

i just installed drivers for a geforce 210..restarted for it to take effect and all i get on restart is a black screen after windows loads etc but the monitor is on..any idea what to do?

 

Screen goes black until login screen times out

I restarted my computer because it was running slowly, and when it restarted, I hit the space bar to go from my lockscreen to login to enter my password, but the screen goes black.

The cursor remains, and I can move it around, but I can't click anything.

When the login screen times out, it goes back to the lock screen and I can see that screen, and a brief second of the login screen. When I tried again to enter the login screen, the screen went black again, until the login timed out again.

I can't even try to restart in safe mode because I can't access the power options-- those are on the login screen where the screen is black and I can't interact.
