  1. When I restart my PC, Windows launches into a previous system state (from like a week ago)

Since upgrading to Windows 10 and installing a new KingDian SSD, I've had a problem where Windows will fail an update, after which every time I launch my PC, it loads into a previous state and "forgets" stuff like drivers or setting changes I've made. The performance also drops massively for almost all applications and TaskManager shows the SSD keeps jumping to 100% activity.

I've tried multiple things to solve this (changing Windows Search settings, system restore, deleting the update cache, ect.) but the only thing that helps is reinstalling Windows completely. The problem is though after a month or two it starts happens again, I've had to reinstall Windows four times in the past year.

I assumed it might be my new SSD at first, but I'm also wondering if it could be my old motherboard with DDR3 RAM?

  2. Windows Store crashes on launch

    Hi,

Thank you for getting back with a reply.

This issue may happen due to system file corruption. I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow
    the below given steps:

    • Press Windows key + X, select
      Command prompt (Admin)
to bring up elevated Command prompt.
    • In Command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter.
    • Restart the computer.
If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:

    • Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
    • In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    • Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

Keep us posted on Windows related queries and we will be happy to assist you further.

  3. Power Supply Surges detected during the previous power on

    Well lads!

I've been suffering plenty of random restarts since I built this new system over a week ago!

I got this error on my last random restart:
Power Supply SUrges detected during the previous power on.
ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit!

This error barely shows up after random restarts but this is the third time in a week it gave me this error!

Is it simply down to the PSU getting old?? Or is the motherboard faulty?
    ANy suggestions would be lovely!
