When I run ipconfig /displaydns, I keep seeing this strange in-addr.arpa that I did not set up

When I run ipconfig /displaydns, I keep getting something that says 33.65.135.192.in-addr.arpa along with the other normal websites listed such as bn1302.storage.live.com.

I checked the host file on my Windows 10 pc, and I don't have anything modified there regarding this ip address or website.

In fact, I never go to the website listed under PTR Record.

When I signed into my netgear router online earlier, the device names of a couple of my devices that were connected previously were changed to the same name that is listed under the PTR Record.

This is the first time I have ever seen this.

Any ideas on what is going on?

    :)

  3. From the run box I type in ipconfig and ipconfig opens and closes straight away

    Hi,

It is because the run box can only initiate command, but it can't open it on its own. Instead, you can run the commands using the Command Prompt. However, if you're using a computer that is connected to a domain or a company restricted machines, you need
to ask the IT of the company to give you permission.

If you can open Command Prompt, try the following steps:

    • On the Search bar, type in Command Prompt.
    • Once you see it, right click on it and choose Run as administrator.
    • It will prompt you to UAC ( User Account Control) asking to make changes to your computer, please choose
      YES.
    • Once the Command Prompt is open, type in ipconfig and hit enter.

Let us know if this resolves your concern.

If you think this was useful, do not hesitate to "mark it as an answer" to help those who are facing the same problem.

When I run ipconfig /displaydns, I keep seeing this strange in-addr.arpa that I did not set up

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
