Windows 10: when i saw the users access to my c drive there are 5 users

there are multiple user access to c drive while i only have 1 account on my laptop

Prevent user viewing C drive, but allow access to User folders

A standard user wont stop access *Smile

Follow these steps:

Right click your c drive
in the popup, choose the sharing tab like in the pic and click advanced sharing



then click permissions



then click the "everyone line in the top half, and uncheck read in the bottom half.
DO NOT CHECK THE BOX FOR "DENY" or you will DENY everyone access to c drive. this will LOCK YOU AND ALL USERS OUT OF THE COMPUTER.

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.

Deleting all security settings is suicidal.

The easiest way to fix the problem is to ask an expert to visit you and undo the damage.

The next easy method consists of formatting the disk and reloading Windows and all programs.

Fixing it yourself is difficult unless you have strong experience at a maintenance level. The following is required:

• A Windows Repair USB thumb drive.
• The ability to boot the machine into Repair Mode, using this drive.
• The ability to exectute a number of console commands.
