This is image for project is video surveillance project when I share my HWID:******* to someone then give me access for file and I shared my HWID is affected my pc or my personal data or hack my laptop is possible?

Hello Microsoft team! well I got a question i been hardware ban from a game on laptop and I was wondering if I can change my laptop hardware id by any chance if yes Ima send my laptop to Best Buy to tell them if they can change my hwid

 

How to check my old Hardware ID (HWID)

Understand that you want to view the old device ID, because the HWID is a unique identifier generated based on the computer hardware configuration, involving multiple hardware components in the computer, including the CPU, motherboard, hard drive, etc. formed by a special encryption algorithm. If you have reinstalled your system or replaced your hardware devices, a new HWID may be generated to fit the new hardware configuration, in which case it may not be possible to retrieve it because the old HWID no longer corresponds to the previous hardware configuration.

Even though it may not be possible to retrieve it, I ask what purpose you are trying to get the HWID for? We will try to help you.

Cannot access shared network drive


Personally, I wouldnt use Everyone. If anyone hacks into you, they have full access to everything and can demolish everything on your raid. I would rather set up accounts and access separately for each person. That way, I know who did all that damage. In the end with a little extra work, I feel more secure by using Authenticated Users.


If this helps.
step 1 create non-microsoft account and without email and address without admin rights
step 2 share a drive or folder to specific user account (if Everyone is listed, remove it)
step 3 set security > add Authenticated Users (if more than 1 account) or add specific users
step 3a remove Everyone from list
step 3b uncheck full control and write for all items listed except SYSTEM and Admin account.
step 4 right click Start > Computer Management > System Tools > Shared Folders > Shares ... to verify settings and change anything else. You can also see the number of connections to each share here.
