Windows 10: When i start my Pc it just says "Preparing Windows" and it just stays like this for hours ....

When i started my Pc it just says "preparing windows " and it just stays that way for hours . I really need to use my pc but its not working , every time i shut it down and turn it back on its the same thing happening

I realize that at startup your PC always says preparing for windows. I will try to help you with this issue.

  Are you signing in to a Local account or the Microsoft account?
  

Suggest you to boot the PC in Safe Mode to check if that helps. Once you are in the desktop screen you may boot the PC in a clean boot state to check the status.

OS Install stops at "Windows preparing to start"

Hi

Trying to install windows from scratch on a computer. Tried with Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. In both instances, it boots from the CD, loads the drivers and just before it starts it sticks on "Windows is preparing to start". I'm at work so can't list a detailed spec now but it's somthing like:

AMD Athlon 800MHz
512MB RAM
80GB HDD
LG CDROM
Can't remember graphics card

Tried swapping the RAM, changing the HDD and pulling out all the additional PCI cards... nothing is working... HELP!

• Did you setup any task in task scheduler?
  
• Please help us with the screenshot of the system information page of the PC. Press
  Windows + R key from the keyboard and type msinfo32 and
  follow the steps mentioned in the screenshot
