Windows 10: When i switch on my old laptop i get the time and date but no PIN prompt, so i can't do...

I get the correct date and time, along with the image of the Algarve sea, sand and rocks but when i click to bring up the PIN prompt the screen goes blank for a few seconds and then i get the correct date, time and sea, sand rocks image again. I need to transfer non cloud based stuff off my old laptop onto the new laptop

I suggest you to change the Date and Time format from Control Panel and check. Also select the time zone as UTC-5.00 Eastern Time.


After changing the setting, I suggest you to set “Windows Time” service as automatic. Follow the steps provided below.

• Press Windows logo Key + R key.
• Type services.msc
• Right click on Windows Time service.
• Select Properties.
• Under startup type drop down, change it to Automatic.
• Click on Apply button and OK button.

Restart your computer and check.

Date and Time Year is 3015 and can't change to 2015.

Windows 11 had been prompting for password but now a for a pin that I don't konw

hello Windows 11 support ..

For the longest time I've been able to login to my laptop with a password.

But just recently it switched to asking me for a pin only ... which I don't know.

I stepped thru the pin reset process but It wants to send to an old phone that is no longer activated.

Any idea how to get around this ??
