When I switched the power switch my PC automatic start without press the power button of PC

Have to press pc power replacement switch several times to start pc

Installed pc power replacement switch...but have to press the switch start button several times to turn pc on.
Connected another one..have similar problem.

Totally puzzled...the only items connected to pc is monitor,keyboard and mouse and ethernet cable and speakers.

The replacement does work...the only connectors i have not connected to motherboard is Reset and Hdd ready.

To be correct i can use pc for say a day...turn pc on next morning with no problem..but turn pc on again in afternoon..nothing...have to press the replacement switch pc on button 20-30 times to fire up pc.

What is causing this erractic behaviour ? Getting very frustrated with this issue.

How do I switch my windows 10 PC off with one press of the power button?

if I have Outlook open and a word document and I press the power button, I get the PC stating that Outlook is preventing it from switching off and I need to first save the Word document.

I would like the power button to automatically save that unsaved Word document and close off Outlook and then shutdown.

Perhaps I need a new brain, but the purpose of the power button is normally to turn on the PC? Pressing the ON button sends a signal using the +5V standby line always on on the motherboard to the PSU commanding the PSU to power on. If the PC does not start when the ON switch is pressed then you may have a faulty switch, connecting lead or a faulty PSU.
