Windows 10: When I try to delete a group of folders, it gives me the error message "You require...

Hi,These files have been an issue for a while after an error with the Xbox app when an attempt to uninstall multiple games failed for a reason I've forgotten.The issue occurs when I try to delete the files and the error message from the title appears. Since then, I've tried to fix it by changing the security group to "everyone", rather than "SYSTEM". However, it doesn't come up in the list, and when I change it to "ADMINISTRATOR", the same error as before comes up.I would love to know what could be done about this as it is a fairly large group of files that would free up a lot of space.Thank y

Trouble deleting a folder

Thanks for the suggestion but it says "delete folder failed for E:\....." for each folder I try.

Dual error message not fixed

i only get one message. i enabled log to file, created folder for it, then to test the error message, i deleted the folder, to prompt the error message, of which i got one. Ver 1.20.0

 

Errors on creating, renaming, deleting folders in explorer

Thanks for that will get on it. In meantime, the folder name, rename, delete issues and related error messages in part is just because windows explorer has suddenly started requiring a refresh for each step to show the new folder for renaming, then again after it has been renamed etc. So I have to keep hitting F5 for every step in the process including the moving of files from one folder to another. Is there a solution to that? That would be part of the probelm solved and I can then see if there are any remaining problems. Thanks - - - Updated - - -

Tha bit has been solved by a restart of explorer. I will watch for any remaining issues and folow dalchina's advice should they still be present.
