Windows 10: When i try to download or open an application it keeps on saying the requested operation...

Please help me microsoft.

Request to choose how to open application

When you click on a programs (application) shortcut that is New, or old for that matter, it should not ask you how to open it, it should open the Program.

If you have a file that was created with a program you would choose that program to open the file. Every file has an Extension (ie) [filename].doc, [filename[.txt, [filename],jpg etc If you right click the file and choose Properties, it will tell you what the extension is. If it is not obvious, like the previous examples, you can type in Google, how to open .TFT file or whatever extension. It should list the programs that open that file. If you have that program installed, it should open that file or you can browse to the program in list and choose it. Or you can download the program if you don't have it.

 

Trouble with Lightroom operating on Windows 10

As per the description the application is not compatible with Windows 10. I suggest you to install the application/program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

  Download the setup files for the application
  from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.
  
• 
  Right click on the setup file of the
  application and select “Properties”.
  
• 
  Select “Compatibility” Tab.
  
• 
  Place a check mark next to“Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system (Windows 7/8/8.1) from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Let the application install and then check thefunctionality.
