When I try to load a recovery point it says C drive is damaged

I thought I learn from my mistakes but apparently not, I tried moving files from C drive to D drive but I messed something up I did not move windows, it's just some files are stubborn and the file dependencies are all messed up. Thankfully I made a recovery point before this, I'm not educated on them I just know they're a thing. So after I messed up I tried loading it but it says my C drive is damaged, I've tried almost everything, I tried doing the repair option it gave me and tried running some commands in cmd prompt and I even tried 3rd party software but it's still damaged and I can't

    :)

  2. Recovery Drive

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern. In some cases, this could happen if you created a system restore point on your computer. Windows will use the recovery drive to revert to the previous time where your computer is working properly, or where you created
it. Please don't attempt to put any files in the recovery drive or the restore process will fail. To give you more suggestion and helpful information, we would like to more about your computer. Please answer the question below:

    • Did you make any changes to your computer before this issue occurs?
    • Have you install Windows Update before getting the Recovery drive?
    • Which version of Windows are you using? To check it, follow the steps through this
      link.

In the meantime, you can check the files inside the recovery drive and confirm if there are essential files that you need.

We'll be waiting for your response.

What's eating up my \C: drive?

From the list above you haven't used storage sense or disk clean.
$GetCurrent is upgrade files which can be cleared with either .

    for
    • Step 1: Press Windows+Pause Break key to open System and choose System protection.
    • Step 2: Select the hard disk whose system protection is on, and click Configure.
    • Step 3: Tap the Delete button.
    • Step 4: Choose Continue to remove all restore points on the selected drive.

Windows recovery is not working says "Not supported"

    Hi,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    • How are you trying to run Check Disk?

    • When exactly do you receive Windows recovery "Not supported"?

    • Have you tried to setup Windows recovery drive?
I suggest you to run Check Disk which performs an analysis of the disk. Refer to the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Click on Command prompt (Admin).
    • Type chkdsk /f and hit enter.
NOTE: The root drive has to be C: and the command may schedule a task at the system startup, if it does, then press
Y to schedule a task and restart the computer to perform chkdsk.

Important: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.

Please get back to us with the results of the above instructions.
