    When i try to remove my microsoft pin, it says my password is incorrect. How do i solve this?


    I have recently reset my pc, and i have been unable to remove my pin on startup. This is driving me crazy. I enter my password which i KNOW i used for my microsoft account to remove my pin, and it says "unknown username or password". I could not find anything on this topic no matter where i searched. please help.

    Remove sign in pin

    Hi Joel,

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

    • In the search box type sign-in-option.
    • Click on the sign-in-option.
    • Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
    • There you can remove the option and check.

    PIN and Password Incorrect

    I can't get past the password screen. It says that there's a problem with my PIN and whenever I try logging in using my Microsoft password, it says it's incorrect even though I have reset it multiple times.

    PIN/Password says incorrect

    I was able to open my computer and use it yesterday morning and then it went to sleep. when I tried to open it again, it says the password is incorrect and I know it's not. I've been trying to open my computer since yesterday. I tried resetting the password
    and it did reset for my microsoft account, but I have a second pin security set up and I can't change that. I can't open my computer to get to the settings either.

    How do I fix this?
