Windows 10: When I try to send a photo or other information, for some reason I can't send it Why?

When I save a photo or document, for some reason they won't allow me to send it. Why?

• When did you start experiencing this issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

There are several reasons why you're unable to send photos via messages on your Windows phone and one of which may be due to software issue or poor network connection. For us to assist you with your concern, please answer the following questions:

• Which phone model and version of Windows are you using?
  
• When did the issue start?
• Are you sending the photos via Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) or are you sending it through applications?
• Are you receiving any error messages?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you download and install the B2X-SMARTAPP
which is one way to test and diagnose both the hardware and software of your device. It would also provide the troubleshooting steps which you would need to follow in order to fix the issue.

How to select and send the pictures from Photo app.

Thank you for getting in touch with Microsoft Community.

To send/share a picture form Photo app, first you need to configure the Mail app on Windows 10. As it is the default application through which you shall send/share the photo. I suggest you to follow the instructions provided below and check if it helps.

• 
  Open Photo app.
  
• 
  Hover the mouse pointer on the photo, which you wish to send/share.
  
• 
  You shall see a small check box which appears on the photo. Click on this
  check box to select the photo.
  
• 
  Click on Share option next to Cancel at the top right corner of the app.
  
• 
  Select Mail app for the Share list which appears.
  
• 
  Enter the Emails address to whom you wish to send the photo.
  
• 
  Click on Send option.
