    I have tried the following with no sucess: Run as Administrator. Create a new user account and run from there.Adjusting UAC to minimal levels.Run DISM and sfc.Thank you in advance for the help.

    Microsoft Steps Recorder Is Not Saving Files - Receiving Error Message (Windows 10)

    Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

    Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.2604

    When I try to save the file in Steps Recorder, I receive the error "An error occurred while attempting to save the recorded steps." I click ok and then try to exit the program or start the recording over and it gives me the error "An error occurred while attempting to save the recorded steps: The system cannot find the path specified."

    The path I am trying to save is to my downloads folder. Any assistance in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

    Steps Recorder there... but not there

    Are you trying to use this? - C:\Windows\System32\psr.exe
    [Start menu, Windows accessories, Steps recorder - but often referred to as the Problem steps recorder]

    It is supposed to launch a small UI dialog and it should also be shown on the Taskbar but, from your description, this does not happen. Does anything happen at all?

    Also hoping it sorted it out. It was long shot it even had the ground on the back(Not knowing anything about the receiver) The "correct" steps have been taken. But did it work? *Confused When I try to start Steps Recorder I receive an error "A referral has been received from... :confused:
