    When I try to use my pin to log into my account it says unavailable with code 0x800900016.


    When I try to use my pin to log into my account it says unavailable with code 0x800900016. I tried to use the command prompt but every time I try it keep saying my password is incorrect I tried changing it and it still pops up with the same password is incorrect.

    Win10/HP Pavillion - PIN "unavailable"

    Using Win10 on an HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop

    PIN went away. Now when I go into create a PIN I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". The step prior is: Start.>Settings>Accounts>Sign in Options>Windows Hello PIN and it reads "This options is currently unavailable - click to learn more". I
    followed the steps suggested, but they don't work

    Suggestions?.

    Something happened and your pin is unavailable. Click to configure new pin. When I click set new pin for a short while it says Please wait and then MS Store dialog box pop up.     Forgotten PIN and expired password

    Hi Dyari,

    Thanks for your answer.

    I tried steps of both links:

    • #1: reset PIN code
      • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    • #2: change or reset windows password
      • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
      • I am using a local account
    If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.
