Hi, Everytime i try to turn on my pc it gets on a system scan screen, i tried seeing if i could stop it on the BIOS but i didn't find anything useful, I wish someone could help me because everytime the scanning is done they just give me an option to shutdown my PC, and i tRied pressing F8 But it didn't work

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

Screen turns black, system "hybernating"

Story short, a month ago my screen turned black and my PC rebooted on his own for a couple of days (sometimes rebooting while in Windows or BIOS). It was pretty random. I've had an experience with aging PSUs in the past so I decided to open the box in case of an overheated CPU.

It seemed to work because I didn't face any other issue until 2 days ago.

Now, there is a pattern. The screen turns black and the system is on but nothing is effectively working (as I was talking in Teamspeak 3 and no one replied from the other side) and no lights on in my keyboard.

I always have to turn it off by force and what happens next is that it reboots by itself 2 mins while in Windows or BIOS (more often the latter). This is irritating and I don't know what is the most likely cause.

Have in mind that:

- I have bought a new PSU.
- I have bought a new CPU cooler.
- I have swapped the 2 RAM slots (in search for a faulty one).

Yesterday I turned the PC off at 9pm and only turned it on 11am of today to install the new CPU cooler. It worked wonderfully for 5 to 6 hours until the same problem occurred. It seems that the more I turn it on, the less it works. If I turn it on now it will go straight to system hibernating without even showing BIOS.

A friend of mine suggested leaving the PC cool off for an entire day as it might be too overheated. It's confusing, because I tried Coretemp and it showed me 40 degree celsius while playing a game. Yet, there does seem to be a heat factor unto this considering that the more times in a row I turn it on, the worse it gets. Not to mention that this recently occurred during a heat wave here in Portugal. Not sure if a coincidence...

I am going to try and leave the PC to rest for a day. Until then, suggestions?

 

Screen turns black, system "hybernating"

Turned it on - after almost an entire day without touching it - and worked for 3 hours before the same screen black, system hibernating happened again.

Checked the temperature throughout and the cores registered at max 56 and 50.

Suggestions?
