    Oldest File 3/17/2017

    Lastest File 2/24/2020 This is the data I updated to Pro


    I don't think this is being accessed any longer and it is a rather large number of files.


    I WANT TO DO IT - I JUST NEED EXPERT CONFIRMATION.

    C windows installer folder - Delete?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink When I Upgraded to Win 10 Pro, a C;\Windows.old directory was made and I want to delete it... ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

    What is the new RecoveryImage directory?

    I upgraded 8.1.1 Pro X64 to Win 10 TP then to build 9860. Results are as I listed for the C:\RecoveryImage directory.

    You are right, what I meant by a clean install is that I reset my PC from the 'recovery' section in settings that removed the previous installation along with all the applications installed on it.

    I will try the steps that you have suggested.
