Windows 10: When I use "Find my device", why does it show my device hundreds of miles from its actual...

I used Find my device here, the one I am currently using: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/find-my-deviceIt is hundreds of miles off. Why?

Find My Device shows my device 150 miles away BUT it is actually right in front of me!

"Find my device" shows my device 150 miles away BUT ITS NOT! It is right in front of me!

 

My desktop's location is showing as being hundreds of miles away, in a place I've never been.

Location services are turned on, location history is cleared, and default location is set to my home address, which is the only place this desktop has ever been. But the computer thinks it's hundreds of miles away in another state. Typing "my location" into any browser shows this incorrect location. Also, logging into my Microsoft account and checking Find My Device returns the same incorrect location, complete with a street address hundreds of miles away.

I have a laptop using the same WiFi network as my desktop that shows the correct location, and the laptop found correctly with Find My Device. Both devices are on Windows 11.

Is there any fix to this? The incorrect location used to be in Florida and now it's in South Carolina, both places are nowhere near my actual location.

I reset the PC this evening and choose to keep my files and just reinstall Windows. That didn't make any difference.

Some devices might be listed under hidden devices in Device Manager, I suggest you to open Device Manager then click on View option and click on Show hidden devices. Once it is done, check whether you can find the device.

As an initial step of troubleshooting, I suggest you to try connecting the device with other USB ports and check if it is detected (If you are connecting through USB).

Also, try updating the USB drivers and check if it helps. Follow the below steps.

-Open Device Manager.

-Find and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

-Right-click on each driver listed and click on Update Driver Software

-Restart the system after updating the drivers.

-Try connecting the device and check if the issue still persists.
