Windows 10: When I use skype to call from laptop or mobile they can't hear me although I hear them...

No volume on skype calls, as in I hear them but they can't hear me. Any advice?

Bluetooth hearing aids and skype - audio problems

I wear hearing aids and they are bluetoothed to my laptop. However, sometimes when I start a skype call to another skype user, the audio (input to me) won't work. On the skype settings audio page, it says the hearing aids are not connected. However, they are connected if I look at the settings on my laptop. Can anyone help me? I need a quick fix so I can meet my clients on skype. I've tried rebooting my laptop, switching my hearing aids off and back on, going back into my laptop settings to check that the correct input device is set as the default, and double-checking the audio settings on the skype app. I can't seem to fix it when I need it. A while later, all returns to normal again. So frustrating.

Step 1:

I suggest you enable settings in the Playback Devices and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the speaker icon on your taskbar.
• Select Playback Devices.
• Click on the Playback Devices and right click on the
  Speakers/Headphones.
• Check mark on the Show Disabled Devices and
  Show Disconnected Devices.

If the issue persists the follow the below step.

Skype pairing with my hearing aids.

Thanks for the additional information. Normally I use Chrome, but I think Skype opens in Edge. I always make sure the laptop sound settings indicate that my hearing aids are the default for both mic and speaker, and I also check the settings within Skype.
I have considered that this may be a router issue since I use only mobile data on a stand-alone Verizon HotSpot. We live full-time in an RV and have dealt with signal issues in the past, but the hearing aids cutting out is a recent development. Considering that my signal also drops often during afternoons and evenings, I may have a bandwidth issue. I can take that up with Verizon.

Again, thanks for your help. I think I am closer to identifying the problem, and hopefully, can get it resolved. I listen in to at least three webinars for meetings each week. One is on MS TEAMS, but it also seems to be having an issue with the hearing aids from time to time. My hearing aids are relatively new, but I can also check with the provider.
