Windows 10: When I write anything on my notepad, I unable to save it.

When I write anything on my notepad,I constantly try to save the file but I unable to save it.When I click on the save button. No error message no interface changes same interface is coming save button.Please tell how can I solve this problem?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

• Open Task Manager. Here’s a tip: press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
• Click on Startup tab.
• Select Notepad from the list and click on Disable.

Unable to save new Notepad files

When I go to save a new Notepad file, I am not able to save it. I get the error message "File not found. Check the file name and try again."

When typing any text in the a new notepad document, an * appears on the top line before "Untiled- Notepad".

I have looked at all the permissions (right-click a Notepad file, Properties, Security Tab) for the Notepad application. All users (SYSTEM, myself, Administrators) have ALLOW selected for Full Control, Modify, Read & Execute, Read, and Write. All users
do not have Special Permissions selected in ALLOW. All users have none of the DENY boxes checked.

I have also tried right-clicking in the empty space on the desktop and then selecting New>Notepad. I get a Notepad file on my desktop and I am able to edit the filename, but I am unable to add any text to that new Notepad file.

I can edit/add/delete text to an old text file and save it. I am also able edit the filename of an old Notepad files.

I am not able to open an old text file and make a copy of it using a different filename.

ADDITION - I also discovered I cannot download PDF files. Get the same error message as I do when trying to save new Notepad files. I had to download the PDF file to a flashdrive and then move them over to my desktop.

I can right-clicking in the empty space on the desktop and then selecting New>Notepad. I get a Notepad file on my desktop and I am able to edit the filename, but I am unable to add any text to that new Notepad file. I can save an new Notepad file
with no text, but I can not edit it.
