Windows 10: When i'm hold down CTRLthe button S is disabled

When i'm hold down CTRLthe button S is disabled. In any program: on desktop, in different games. But if i press ctrl+shift, S button is working.Video with a problem on dropmefiles if you need.

Disable Hardware Windows Button on Nuvision Tablet

2 years ago I bought a Nuvision TM800W560L tablet at the Microsoft store for 50 bucks. It was a great deal, full Windows 10 tablet for next to nothing! It has a physical Windows button, however I would like to disable this button as I accidentally press
it when I am holding the tablet sideways.

• I have tried enabling filter keys to no avail.
• I have tried disabling every single one of the drivers below with the exception of the GPIO Buttons driver and I2C HID Device to no avail (they can only be uninstalled not disabled).
• I tried uninstalling the GPIO Button driver since it can't be disabled. When I uninstalled GPIO Button this had no effect, not even a temporary one.
• I tried uninstalling I2C Device which DID work HOWEVER the touchscreen also stopped working so it was not the right solution.
• I tried to use the program winkill and this also did not work.
• I even went as far as to try this regedit listed under "Solution #1" of this site Disable Windows Key: 5 Easy Ways to Lock it.

I am sure there is a way this button can be disabled but I have yet to figure it out. Please give me any suggestions you might have.

 

Now that holding the Start button doesn't do anything.

Now that Cortana is here and voice commands are accessed by holding down the search button, holding down the start button no longer does anything.

I think it would improve, and quicken, navigation if holding the start button brought up either a list of recent closed apps or a user defined list of favorite apps.

This would allow a user to either reopen a closed app or quickly open an app they don't want pinned to their start screen.

Try the below suggested steps.

Method 1

1. Unplug all the external devices except Mouse and Keyboard.
   
2. Try to reboot the device and check the status of the issue.
   

Method 2

I would suggest you to perform Power drain by following the suggested steps.

1. Press and hold the Power Button down for 30-40 seconds.
   
2. Hold the Volume Rocker up and Power ON for almost 20 second.
   
3. Release the power button and wait for next 10-15 seconds.
   
4. Press the power button to turn on your Surface and check the status of the issue.
