Used Speccy as well as HWMonitor gave me the same temps. Not sure why I'm getting this temp but my PC seems to be normal and running but I'm just wondering why it's doing that, It was normal on Windows 8.1 when I installed Windows 10 it started doing this.

  2. Windows Update cause a problem to my motherboard

Hello everyone, few days ago when i instaled latest updates from windows i got a big problem, once i restarted my pc it started to work a bit slower than normal while i was playing some games, i checked and im 100% sure that the updates caused it, i tried
to check my pc with program Speccy, eveything was fine only thing weird was that my motherboard have 120-118C always even if i just start pc after few hours of no using it. i tried to reinstal windows and the problem still here, but i want to say this is
fake temperature caused by latest updates becouse i touched by myself the motherboard and i checked temp from bios it was arround 20-30C max. Even if this updates make pc to think motherboard is 120-118C temp., its not a problem for me the real problem is
that pc think the temp is real and it work slower than normal,. I tried to unistal updates but 1 or 2 cant be unistalled and the problem still exist, Any solutions how i could fix it ?

Im thinking maybe if i could find a old windows i mean without the latest 2-3 updates and maybe if i wil instal this it wil become back to normal

    Here is imy pc :

    CPU - Intel Core i5 7400 @ 3.00GHz

    RAM - 8.00GB Single-Channel Unknown @ 1069MHz (15-15-15-36)

Motherboard - ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME Z270-P (LGA1151)

GPU - Nvida Geforce gtx 1050 TI 4gb

  3. WHY WON'T CCleaner app install on Windows 10??

I just tried this morning to download the free version of CCleaner from Softonic site and it downloaded but when went to install a "pop-up" box came up advising me that this app could not run on this machine?? Why? It says windows 10 compatible??

I need to clean my machine up of old bits of hidden app files etc that haven't fully deleted when deleted app and also other items as machine running very slow. Any other suggestions besides running prefetch, temp and %temp% which I have already done so.

Suggestions would be fantastic please or a "free ccleaner" that works on windows 10 systems.

Software monitors will often detect the wrong temps. I would probably ignore it. The thing wouldn't work at those kind of temps. It is pretty routine to see those sort of erroneous temperature readings from the motherboard sensor.

But if you want to check then you can touch your heatsink near the sensor and if your skin does not fuse to your mobo, everything is good. If however, you find your fingers are now permanently fused to your motherboard, then I offer you my humblest apologies for having made the suggestion in the first place

Should also mention that is a new Win10 build for speccy available. Maybe the 8.1 build is the reason for the error on your system if it was detecting properly before.

Yeah, I already have the windows 10 update for speccy, still doing that. Tried using HWMonitor as well, still says 118C.
